SIPERG is headed to Norway!

CATEGORIES: Field Blog/News

Preparations are being made for an upcoming sampling trip thanks to recent NSF grant approval. The focus of the trip is to collect shell material both from shallow water and deep water sites off the northern coast of Norway. This material will be used to strengthen and extend a current master shell growth chronology that has been in development for the past few years.

The ISU team will be joined in the field by collaborators from Bates College in Maine, akvaplan-niva in Norway, and the Royal Netherlands Institute for Sea Research (NIOZ). Many exciting projects will be taking place at this particular study site. Stay tuned for updates from the field!
